    Default xml feeds - valuechecker

    Hi all,

is anyone using valuechecker's live odds feeds, and have they been a success for them? 50% is a big click share chunk, but im getting lots of clicks but few signups so thinking it might be worth while.

I also thought of maybe getting a custom solution made up but its hard to nail down exactly how much that would cost.

Anyway, looking for some independent reviews on how valuechecker has been for you.

    Many thanks

i haven't used it because I don't like the idea of giving someone else my traffic, however if you think it can bring in extra converting traffic it might be worth a try. It might have to be something you have to experiment with with different trackers and just see what happens

Cheaper than coming up with your own odds checker solution, but still very expensive. I don't use them for that reason. If they dropped their fee to 20% they'd get way more coverage.

Never tried them despite their approach - as the real cost is too high.

It might be "free" as in there is no monetary charge - but the 50% traffic bleed is a non-starter - and costs you FAR more than paying for a monthly subscription.

    thanks for the opinions folks.

I'm in a position where im getting a fair few clicks over the past few months, but conversion rates are very low. I've been thinking of setting up a separate live odds section on the site, and maybe the people who might need the live odds will sign up through there. I know 50% is pretty high, but 50% of something is maybe better than 50% of nothing eh!?

Really not sure to be honest- one extra bit of info is that we do game previews every week, and mention the genuine best odds available at the end of the previews (with links), but we could still be getting leakage from people i suppose who want to check for themselves on the likes of oddschecker.

I suppose this depends on observed behaviour - do you all think people trust previews and they'll be happy the info is true? Or will they want to check?

And a scenario for you guys- if someone clicks our links, and then goes to the likes of oddschecker to confirm, and then types in the bookie in the browser/or click through oddschecker- do we lose the referral?

Thanks again for all the opinions guys.
