Default Where do I get images from?

Post-images for casino stuff were easy, taking a screenshot of slot game was enough. Now I entered the sports and not idea how to do that. I tried to take snapshots from paused youtube videos, but the quality is crap. I believe I can not simply take any random image of e.g. Messi and use it on my web. Any idea?

pretty sure you can use creative commons and give attribution
    eg https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/C...y:Lionel_Messi

you can also transform an image from other sources somewhat - making it "an original piece of work" ..

Foter (dot com) is also another excellent alternative to think about.

try wallpaper sites for sports personalities, there are thousands of images you can use.

other free image sources we use: pixabay, unsplash, photopin, pexels, publicdomainpictures, publicdomainpictures, splitshire

many of these sites list CC0 (Creative Commons) licensed imagery (totally free to use)

I think for a screen of sporting events you need very high-quality videos, maybe even 4K. Then the screenshots from one video will be clear. But all this takes time, the search for high-quality videos will take a lot of time.

shutterstock, Freepik, depositphoto and many others. You can also use Google's image search to specify the search criteria and image format you want.

    I am using "O-DAN".
    https://o-dan.net/en/

O-DAN is a cross-search service for high quality free stock photo sites.
Keyword search will automatically search for photos from 41 photo sites.
Many of the sites on the list are also included.

    It's very convenient.

I am currently facing this dilemma. You basically cannot use any picture of a footballer for commercial purposes so we are very limited. Even logos.
I use coloured text essentially. I wish there was a way to pay a decent amount per month.

I' m afraid that sports are also copyrighted.

Is it safe to use free materials?

The best paid stock photo sites I found were:

Try these for free images, I haven't used them in a while though:

These are some I had in a Creative Commons - Attribution or Free (rarely) Bookmark Folder, make sure on each image the license, but if you attribute the images, you should be fine legally.

I am using Depositphotos and they are not expensive. If you will download more than just a few pictures, not-paid websites like Pixabay or Unsplash will not have enough relevant casino / sportsbook pictures for you. Personally, I found like 10 - 15 relevant free pictures for commercial purposes, not more.

To save myself a legal nightmare, I figure it's less hassle to just pay $3 or $4 on shutterstock etc. This way I know I can legally use the image commercial, there's a big difference between personal use, and commercial use

Copyright laws vary from country to country.
You should get as much as your country allows.
In most cases, you will buy from a paid site.

If you want free pics, https://unsplash.com/
If you can buy pics, https://www.shutterstock.com/

We always need to be careful of copyright.
