Huge Online Gambling Hacking Scandal. Millions Of Sites Hacked By VerifiedCasinos .com.

The discovery of the unethical promotion practices of one casino and gambling affiliate may well be the largest hacking scandal the online gambling industry has ever seen.

Dear affiliate program managers, account managers and all who has an interest to having the online gambling niche respectable, clean, ETHICAL, and totally hacker free.

Me personally, I am REALLY REALLY REAAALLY getting pi**ed off and fed up with hackers. One such hacker is the owner of VERIFIEDCASINOS . com.

This person has hacked multiple MILLIONS of third party websites, and places his affiliate casino promotions pages and links on those sites. I personally have already reported this to a few affiliate programs now for several months, but.... NO action has been taken. I have reported it to is domain registrar, to Google. So far, no results. That is why I am now bringing it here in the open!

Attention: To ALL affiliate managers, directors, affiliate managers: All of you state that affiliate programs DO NOT condone hacking, spam and any other unethical ways of promoting. However, none of those ethical business have banned this affiliate, simply because he brings in the players...

Hacking is illegal. Condoning it too. And, I believe those who condone this should be prosecuted or roqued.

I know from talking to several affiliate managers during my intensive research that they know him, and that MANAGEMENT knows about him and his unethical ways of promoting. Yet, they don't DO anything because he brings in so many players. Right...

I have reported this person to his web host, to google and, obviously tar and feather him here too. Stop this hacker now, by banning him. Or be unethical yourself. And be part of the hacking. In that case: you should be legally prosecuted too.

Thank you for your reaction, yes I have. Multiple times.
I have yet to see results of that. If all aff programs ban this hacker, as they should, it would be much more effective.
Even if they (Google) took out verifiedcasinos, he'd still be making money.
If he gets banned for life and his money taken from him, then there is a chance this person won't do damage to our industry anymore. Aff programs should do WHATEVER it takes to keep him far away from us.

I've also reported him to his host and registrar.

Funny fact is that I've also reported him by phone to affilistars. com and guess what? The person I spoke to who called himself Danny, laughed at me and hung up. Talking about a rogue affiliate program. They do state that they ban affiliates who do illegal stuff like hacking, but this person brings in a lot I guess. They don't want to lose him. I say BAN him and rogue any aff program who doesn't.

I will will try to contact more aff programs in the coming days, weeks, months. I'll do this as long as that is needed, until I'm sure he's banned everywhere, without any chance of returning!!

This is person is criminal and makes our line of business the kind people want nothing to do with, thanks to his hacking.

Sorry to hear this, but I can hardly see anyone banned for this. Same case as Google bans for black hat SEO. If affiiate programmes would ban sites with hacked incoming links, everything might end in chaos. This is why the jerks laughed.

It is criminal. But unless they are complete dumbasses like if they put the hacked website on the same IP as money site, then it is criminal only de iure.

I can well imagine that the money site is not the hackers, but simply affiliate who bought some gambling related "links" with strong rank.

I really hope they have made some stupid mistake that can be 100% evidence. And I hope the affiliate managers will cooperate and understand the problem. As you know I am trying to solve some cases of affiliate fraud and the results are very poor in most cases. Even with 100% evidence the affiliates do not understand how serious problem the fraud is.

I would like to see a sample of the hacked domains. There is a small chance they left some trace. The big brands will need the trace. As OP said, this is not fraud against affiliate programs (which promoted other brands), but against other affiliate guys, so I can imagine that there will be a reluctant approach to the issue.

The hacks are not about buying links that point at the pages, the hacks appear to be (at least in early research) hacked websites where pages were added to sites without the knowledge of the website owners.

These hacked pages have to be in the navigation structures (or at least the site maps) of the hacked websites in order to end up in the serps.

Have a look at the descriptions on the hacked sites. ALL different! He must have some tool! When I said that to myself a bell started to ring... He IS using a tool.. Pretty expensive one too.. I took for this example: "The casinos that made it to the top 10 list of our website went through extreme scrutinizing by our staff" (which is from his page there) and searched it on Google "with quotes".. When you click on a result, you'll land on the-best-onlinecasino .com/

HOWEVER...

Now go back to the google result page, and click the little green thingy besides the domain, let it open and click cache.

And, while this made me have an 'aha erlebnis' I went over to the hacked sites, found one where I could check the cache, and it's the same. This person is not only hacking, he is also using industrial strength cloaking. And, it seems to work fine. This is why I think he uses Fantomaster.

If you check a few of the cached pages, you'll see that he links to casinomeister youtube, and two of his own links in the cache (which Google sees) however, for a normal visitor, his casino page will show. (linking to others to make it look 'natural')

The only way to eliminate him, is to take his money away. Making 100000% sure he is NEVER ever to be seen in our industry again.

If you know just how much effort I had to take (hours and hours, days after days, weeks etc) to report this to Google, with NO results, and that I am still daily trying...

FBI is not fond on gambling sites as in such, however they do have an interest in this hacker. And, since they dont LIKE gambling sites, they have an interest as well in the aff programs who condone this type of behavior.

I am not disclosing anything of the conversation I had with the FBI on this other than the above. It should pose as a warning and measure to take IMMEDIATE action from the affiliate programs sides.

Okay, I've got to be frank here and say that while I'm not experienced enough to say with 100% confidence that this qualifies as hacking (could it just be someone bought the pages on these site?), it certainly looks extremely suspect to me and the lack of any response what-so-ever from the brands that are consistently displayed across all of these pages is very disappointing. I'll be contacting the programs that I work with and frankly if some reasonable response isn't offered then this issue (working with hackers) will be included in their reviews.

THANK YOU! You have given an answer I was hoping to get from my colleague affiliates. I am hoping on more aff's to do the same.

At least that way, I did not spent all these countless hours, days and weeks on my research on this..

I can GUARANTEE it is hacking. (One of my non gambling sites was victim, and I had to delete the whole account from the server to get rid of him, resulting in several thousands of $$ in damage..) He hacked the wrong person. Me. I went and searched and found him. Tough doggy doo for him.. Cause I'll wrap that doodoo around his ears until they fall off.

If it was 'just me' then who cares about me losing out thousands. But, he hacked so many sites, those poor people don't even know they are victim. Their sites are pretty much rendered valueless, thanks to him.

To further answer you: He did not buy links or any such activity. He is hacking more sites by the day. There are hacked sites indexed 1 day ago, 2 days ago, 3 days ago and so on. It is hacking. 100% for sure. (Alhough it seems he 'calmed a bit down' as they are coming in slower now) Perhaps he read it here, or on CAP, and started to smell the doggy poo that is forming around his or her ears..

Thing is, there are many more brands that this person is (successfully) but unethically promoting, using geo targeting. Casinos, Sports betting and more. Not just the brands on the home page. For example, there are pages on which he promotes Affactive brands too. They informed me that they banned him the beginning of August, they promised me to state that officially here, in this thread that indeed they banned him. I don't see them here.. Probably not so important, or its too busy to address this important issue in the open.

Spoken to Clara (affactive) who told me he was banned.

I am also STILL waiting on any response from the aff programs I contacted. (affilistars. com for instance laughed at me and hung up.) It is VERY time consuming trying to get in (proper) contact with them. Even the big brands.. Insane.

I must say a big 'well done' to antihacker for all this info and I repeat what has been said above: I hope the affiliate programs in question all step up and ban him immediately and not 'in a few months after he has brought several players/traffic'. I see 888, William Hill and Betfair on his sites (loading them from the UK, presume it's geo targeted). I'd hope all would give him the boot, but who knows.

I searched the "p=online-casinos" terms originally suggested and saw thousands of pages that do indeed look like they have been hacked and all end up on the same website or similar "top 10" style review sites. I know one for sure is the identical design to a (i presume legitimate) site I've seen that runs adwords campaigns called 'casinochoice'. There's no way that is 'paid links' or anything that could just be seen as 'black hat' etc, it looks like straight up hacking to me and there's a big difference between the grey area/black hat backlinks and downright criminal activity.

I'm not in the casino niche at all (sports only) so I rarely search such terms so I'm keen to know: is this guy actually managing to rank well for this rubbish? If so, I'd hope it's a loophole that google will plug asap and stop this cloaked rubbish from ranking and also hope it doesn't seriously affect the website's he has hacked.
