Quick Update

Hi all

I've been away from the forums for a while and I thought I'd come here and quickly make an update. I had intended to come in sooner but have not had a chance.

Firstly, yes, I am still alive.

The last year has been a bit of a rollercoaster for everyone, especially the last 6-10 months here.
This pandemic has affected us all differently and I found that reading people's thoughts every day affected me more negatively than positively. I was becoming obsessed with the situation around the world and my personal circumstances surrounding the pandemic, so it made sense to move away unless absolutely necessary. I think it's very easy to look at someone's online persona and make a judgement on who they are and how they cope with certain variables, but I can't stress enough that you just don't know what people are going through behind closed doors, so you should always be kind. I hope everyone is on the road to normalcy and taking care of their health.

As we are only 2 people, our workload has increased exponentially in the last year, which also meant that there was less time to "socialise" here. That workload has not decreased, in fact it has only increased, and so I won't be around posting unless it's absolutely necessary. Both Celia and I have and will continue to be available via email.

In saying all of the above, I will be taking some time out to recouperate.
16th July will be my last day in the office/WFH and I will return on Monday 6th September. The 2 weeks after my return may be slow as I'll have a lot to catch up on so please bear with me.

Celia will be looking after everything while I'm away, including my inbox. I have no doubt she can handle everything while I'm away, however please be aware that since she will be working on her own, it may take a little longer on the replies.

Hope everything is alright with you, Renee. Haven't seen you post in a while. You used to be a lot more active on the forum and you used to make the recognition lists. Keep in touch with us.
