    Default Probably asked before

I am pretty sure I asked this one time before, probably hundred years ago (long enough that I don't recall the answer), but here goes.

Can you clarify the difference between "started registrations" and "registrations"?

Guessing the 2nd one is a completed registration that is done short of making first deposit.

But I am curious if the started registrations includes to filling out the form completely to the point the email address is captured.

Or is the started registration immediate counted once the registration click is registered? In other words, if the visitor abandons the form, would it still register as such?

Not sure I clarified the question completely was just wondering how far the visitor has to go before the count is triggered.

Hello Rick, I believe that the started registrations, is when the email address actually gets captured by the system.
I know that when sometimes, I want to become a member of a specific website, I will be asked to fill in all of the usual things like first and last name, email address, home address, sometimes my mobile phone number etc. Once I've done that, I'll get a message telling me that I have to open the email that they just sent me, in order to complete my registration with them.

    Hey Rick

A started registration is when a user clicks the play now button on the casino website (this replaced the download stat as we no longer have downloadable casinos). That's it. If they abandon immediately after the click, they will still be counted as a started registration. If they abandon immediately before clicking the create account button at the end of the registration form, they will still be counted as a started registration. It does not include any captured information. We do not capture any information about the user until the registration is complete (the user clicks create account or whatever the button in the software says), and at that time they are included in the stats as a registration. A player is only included as a registration once they finish the form and click create account.

Started Registration - The number of players that have clicked the “play now” button from the casino website and begun the registration process. Total for this column sums the amount of started registrations for the whole month.

Registrations - The amount of players who have registered for an account on each day in the selected calendar month. Total for this column sums the amount of registrations for the whole month.

If you have any questions regarding any of the other columns, you can find a green question mark at the top right of the monthly report inside your affiliate account. If you click it, you will see the explanations there

    Cheers

What would be considered a good ratio between Started Registration/Registrations?

It's a question only you can answer for yourself. Obviously the higher the better but the end goal isn't registrations, it's FTDs and decent players. Now if you a running campaigns or trying out different strategies, obviously this would help you determine how targeted your traffic is.

At the same time various factors can affect this. For example you have a lot of targeted traffic that's from a country that RA does not accept (ex. Australia). So you run a campaign, you get a lot of Started Registration and not a single Registration. The ratio would be meaningless in terms of how good the traffic was, as it was doomed from the very start.

Now if you are running a campaign where the geo is already known, and you were getting 5% SR to R, and you decided to switch things up and now you are getting 25% SR to R, that would mean something to you. However at the same time, did the quality of players improve or did it just spike up the registrations only to find out it was bonus hunters, because the change involved announcing some 50 free spins ad, which naturally only attracted people looking for freebies and nothing more.

Once again in that case the ratio would be meaningless as it did not contribute with anything towards your end goal.
