    Default Payments Too Complicated

I was going to sign up, and got to the section on the application where it asked for payment information - and the only payment option available seems to be Player Account'. So then I went to the main site to register a player account, but apparently the only way to create a player account is by downloading and installing the software. I don't recall any other affiliate program ever requiring me to install software to participate! (actually PokerStars did require it in the past, but not any more)

My suggestion : please add other payment options, or allow creation of player accounts without software installation.

    Thanks!

Full Tilt, most Merge and Cake sites... many programs pay affiliate commissions into player accounts by default. Some will provide other options upon request so it's worth asking.

Yes I have no problem with payments to player accounts - as I wrote, I did go to the main Victory site specifically for the purpose of creating a player account. I do have a problem with needing to install software to create the player account.

I have affiliate accounts for Full Tilt and Cake, they never required me to install software, so I'm not sure what your point is there - yes there are many sites that give the option of payment to player accounts, but my suggestion is only that installation of software should not be a requirement to be an affiliate.

My point is most Merge and Cake rooms force the download before you can create a player account. What you are complaining about is not uncommon.

    Hi Leo,

My name is Shenaz Bedi and I am the Affiliate Manager here at Victory Poker. If you don't want to download the software, I can set up a player account for you manually on my end.

We can sort out when you need to withdraw when that happens.

Please email me directly at [email protected] and we can make this happen.

OK Terry thanks for clarifying. Yes I know it is very common to require downloads to create a player account - but can you name any other affiliate program with an application form that can't be filled out without first installing software! I don't have a problem with payments to player accounts, I don't have a problem with player account creation requiring software installation, I do have a problem with an affiliate program requiring software installation, especially requiring it even before being able to fill in the application! Surely it's reasonable to not require affiliates to install software before even being approved!

Thanks for your reply Shenaz, I will keep in mind your offer to create the account, but please consider my suggestion from the first post, otherwise any affiliate visiting your application form will need to install software first...

I completely agree with you. And we shouldn't have to be paid into player accounts at all in my opinion. But FT, Stars, Merge and Cake all think it's reasonable. But, since I do play on most sites I promote I would download and set up an account anyway.

To answer your question... I believe when I joined Cake and Carbon I was forced to set up the account before submitting my application. But to honest, it was a long time ago so I'm not 100% certain.

Another note to consider - Now that most programs offer instant play versions of their software, there should definitely be an option to create an account without going through the download process so I second your suggestion that Victory should add that option to their site.
