Sorry to hear of the sad event in your life J Todd.
Regards to Norway, you are correct that they are not members of the EU but they are fully signed up member of the EEA (European Economic Area) which guarantees the the free movement of goods, persons, services, and capital among the EEA countries.
The EEA is for all intents and purposes the agreement that binds all EU countries together in to the single European market, or suppose to anyway.
Point being is that in terms of online gambling the Norwegians whether they like it or not are subject to the same rules as all European countries.
They just choose to ignore it like some other EEA and EU members do.
Now have a look at Malta, a EU entity and licensing authority to boot, but becuase i live in Malta i am not allowed to play online casino, Poker or multiple sports bets with any organisation that has a Maltese license, so much for single market.
The Maltese dont allow betting shops and have a state monopoly on gambling, which would not bother me if they were not a licensing authority.
The word hypocrisy springs to mind.

Unfortunately hypocrisy is no stranger to how these countries deal with online gambling.
I will let JTodd know you were sorry to hear about his loss.
