This all depends on "which" update caused the problems.
It also depends heavily on what plugins you are running and rely on.
We discuss wordpress updates here at the GPWA very often, but in most cases we have found when they do cause site owners trouble, it is almost always related to a certain plugin, or a theme related issue.
If you provide more information about the specific issue you are seeing as well as what update seemed to be the one that triggered the issue, others may be able to offer guidance on the next steps.
You can try to disable plugins temporarily and if the problem goes away, enable each plugin one at a time and test at each step to help determine what plugin may be the root cause.

I haven't experienced any issues lately and haven't heard of others having problems either, so I don't think it's a general issue.
Without more information, I would suggest you go to the plugins section and check if you have any pending action-required notifications. And I can't stress enough the importance of always doing regular backups. They have saved my work more than once.

Thanks never hurts to remind everyone to do a backup, can never be stressed enough.

Had an odd one recently where one element seemingly broke after a plugin update when accessing wordpress via Chrome, however it was absolutely fine when accessing via Firefox, so although not a permanent solution that at least allowed me to work around it in the interim - maybe worth a try if you have an immediate issue.

I generally find that half the time issues seem to be related to plug ins or the theme, and the other half of the time they're due to php incompatibilities.
And clear your cache. Including any server side cache you might have (eg: varnish).
But if you're getting errors, the best thing to do is check your server error log. It will tell you where the problem is.

When worpress makes a major updgrade it can affect a lot especially if you are using a lot of plugins, more so ones which help with design seem to have a habit of breaking but usually they move in a plug in update pretty quick to resolve it. what problems are you getting?
