    Got this email today:

Termination of Operations of MrAffiliate in the UK

    Dear Sirs,

As we previously informed you, after careful consideration, we have made the strategic decision to realign our focus and refine our business operations by discontinuing our Mr Green brand in the United Kingdom (‘Mr Green UK'). Consequently, we will be closing down the Mr Green affiliate platform in the United Kingdom ("MrAffiliate UK"). This decision has been made in line with our strategic plans and will place the Evoke Group in a stronger position to focus and accelerate other growth opportunities.

The effective date for the closure of MrAffiliate UK will be 30th September, 2024 ("Effective Date").

We want to ensure a smooth transition for you; therefore, if you use MrAffiliate Platform to promote our brand in multiple territories, we will remove the territory of the UK from your agreement. However, if you use MrAffiliate Platform to promote our brand in the UK only, we regret to inform you that your agreement will be terminated.

Accordingly, we refer to your affiliate agreement with Admar Services (Gibraltar) Limited ("Mr Green")to market, promote and refer potential customers to Mr Green via the MrAffiliate Platform (the "Agreement"):

For affiliates operating in multiple territories:

Pursuant to clause 17.1 of the Agreement, we will amend the Agreement by including the United Kingdom within the list of "Excluded Territories". Please take this letter as written notice of variation of the Agreement to withdraw the United Kingdom from the MrAffiliate Platform with effect from the Effective Date.

For affiliates operating in the UK only:

Pursuant to clause 10.1 of the Agreement, please take this letter as written notice of termination of the Agreement with effect from the Effective Date.

We refer you to clauses 10.3 to 10.6 (inclusive) of the Agreement (‘Consequences of termination') and kindly request you to refrain from disclosing any confidential information related to our brands and products after the termination date.

We want to emphasize that you are entitled to any and all "Affiliate Remuneration" actually earned by you up to the Effective Date. For the avoidance of doubt, no "Affiliate Remuneration" will be payable by Mr Green on or after the Effective Date. On or before the Effective Date, please immediately remove all promotions related to Mr Green UK.

Furthermore, we would like to remind you that all the information shared between us is confidential and we kindly request you that you treat it as such.

We would like to take this opportunity to express our appreciation for your support in promoting our brands. Should you have any questions in connection with this letter, please contactus via email at [email protected].

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation during this transition period.
    Yours faithfully,

    MrAffiliate UK

I feel bad now, having let down such an esteemed company that treats affiliates so well. Mods, you can ban me as you see fit.

Why would such major player in the industry close doors? Is competition that far ahead?

Read through the last few years of threads here at the GPWA and you will see this is not the first time, and not as big of a player as many more before this that closed either completely or some brands.

The fact that this was a UK brand is less surprising.

The question is, who is next?

Sadly, to me, watching all these books for the last 15 years from my computer screen, I've always thought that Mr.Green and many others were too big to fail, hence is why this does come as a surprise to me. It's like reading "Bet365 loosing major share of its dominance in the online market and is looking to downsize and focus more on its domestic kiosques" lol

I do not understand why someone thinks that this industry creates too big to fail affiliates or operators. The big operators are always target nr.1 by regulators. The big affiliates are the ones to be robbed first. This is not a banking system. No domino effect happens if some company in gambling niche fails. Bet365 is exceptional because they can sustain all headwinds despite being so big.

I though they had already closed down earlier this year.

They were good before William Hill bought them but then they neglected the brand and 888 finally killed it when they acquired it
