Kindred Affiliates decreased my revenue share to 10% as well, despite I was promoting them earlier only in Poland and I've stopped due to changes in gambling legislation. The situation in Poland is similar to the Netherlands, so their behaviour is far from being honest. Hopefully, someone from Kindred will answer my questions.

Not telling their behavior is ok, but you can still promote them in Poland. Signups go through (if you are lucky and cookie drops which is another case).

I recently got an e-mail from Kindred that said that Unibet will stop paying out commissions for new players who live in the Netherlands. I suppose they will recall this decision when the market in the Netherlands is regulated?

    Yes, that's very likely.

I hear that market in NL has to be regulated for many years. I think that once it happens, there may not be affiliates. And if they are still around, there will be no significant commissions. I have never gotten more than peanuts from regulated markets. They are end game of affiliates. So that is the last thing that bothers me.

But yes, Unibet pays something for example for players in Romania that were acquired before regulation. The magic of Unibet and NL was something I will not write about, because I do not want to harm them. The magic is now gone.

Unibet will for sure pay for new players after regulation in NL, but it will be peanuts, yes. They have their own SEO, Adwords, sports sponsorships, media buying and between Unibet ads, people will be able to see parts of sports games and movies. Here they dominate the commercial blocks with ads that sometimes take more than a minute. In Belgium, during the World Cup, even government sports channel sites and newspapers look more like a Unibet affiliate website than like something else. Hence, there is no need for them to pay big RS. Sooner or later most of their affiliates will find themselves with 10% revenue share of gross gaming minus fees and a 29% gaming tax.

Every year, NL market will be regulated "next year". However, basically nothing is happening, brands are making things more difficult for affiliates. It seems there is some interest in making it affiliates difficult already.

Do you really think it is a plausible option that affiliates will no longer be allowed to exist in the Netherlands after regulation?

No, I think they will be allowed to exist, but the business will be really bad, so there will be no reason for them to exist. No one works for free.

It depends. According to the law in Poland promoting Unibet is illegal and advertisers could be fined for that. Unibet domain is also on the list of restricted domains, so generally speaking random person without Google DNS or VPN won't be able to use their service on unibet.com domain.

For me, it's a similar case to the Netherlands, as I couldn't promote them (in a legal way). Of course, whole gambling affiliation in Europe is at risk now, but you should put in a T&C full list of countries affected.

Unibet used even few days or weeks ago for Poland another domain. I do not know it offhand and makes no sense to tell it here. But they were going around the block.

There are countries that forbid anal penetration, probably the punishment is worse than a fine. So I can not care less and I am even going to Poland physically. The whole country is a complete joke, there is a cold civil war between wannabe catholic government and Guardian style leftist activists. They make many stupid laws there, then they are taking the down. For example they made a law that whoever (even not in Poland) says that Poles were co-culprits of nazi atrocities at WWII should go to jail up to 3 years. It is just a fact that some/many Poles simply did horrible things as it happened everywhere. Those laws are a nonsense and as a such they should be taken. But it is your business. IMHO the risk is ridiculously low, unless you are a Pole&you do not obfuscate your identity.

Yes we and all people can do less and less. So what. Soon someone will make a law that you can just work, go to facebook and few other whitelisted websites and pay taxes. Will you obey?

Oh well my account has been recently closed. Probably because I didn't jump to their demands of however many depositors they wanted. Another dirty thieving affiliate program in the bin.

Moreover, Kindred implemented negative carry over since August (in my case). So my deal was down to 10% revshare and NCO - great threatening of affiliates by Kindred (Unibet).

Their behavior is simply rogue. They know very well that webmasters in small, regulated markets have not too much choice. Their affs are dodging the issue. Didn't accept the new terms and so far no problems.

It seems well coordinated, as they have other agreements with big affiliates (I think).

Yeh I think they're just doing the same as Skybet, sweeping up the small affiliates via quotas and rule changes. ROGUE.
