Default How do you pay US affiliates? No advance warning

We had a small payment coming and you were having problems sending to Payspark. After verifying ps info and letting Lavy know everything was correct we continued waiting. Finally was in contact with with our aff mgr and was told they could no longer pay via ps but they could send via wire. Only problem was there is a $250 mininum but they would try to push ours thru even tho it was believe the min.

Now what's strange about all of this is I have a US affiliate friend who is owed quite a bit of money from you that says they can't collect their earnings because you can only pay US affs via a non-US bank account.

On your very website it says:

    BrightShare Affiliate Program Payment Options

Payments are made before the 20th of every month. The minimum payment amount is for $100 for all payment options except bank wires. The minimum bank wire amount is $1000.Unpaid amounts are carried forward to the next month. For your convenience we pay by:

    Payment Options for US Affiliates:

    Payspark
    Click2Pay - only existing accounts

    Plus your t & c's says:
5.10.7. BrightShare calculates the commission payments at the end of each month and makes the payments by the twentieth (20th) day of the following month, or on the first business day after the twentieth (20th) day of the following month. Payments are made by wire transfer or direct payment to an online account designated by the Affiliate (i.e., Neteller, Click2Pay, FirePay, PaySpark, etc.). The Affiliate is responsible for selecting the payment method. If the Affiliate does not specify a particular payment method, the payment will be carried to the following month. It is hereby clarified that if the Affiliate will not specify a particular payment method, payment will not be made. All wire transfers and/or checks delivered by courier are subject to a US$35 fee, which will be subtracted from any commissions paid to the Affiliate. Fees charged by Affiliate’s online account shall be the sole responsibility of the Affiliate. The Affiliate is responsible for providing BrightShare with correct payment information details (i.e. online account details, mailing address and banking information).

So tell me Brightshare.....how do you pay your US affiliates? Obviously not by what your website and your t & c's says.

Can a reminder be sent to Brightshare as it seems that the contact hasn't signed in since they signed up? GPWA Anthony, universal4

I have seen this before. There is no excuse not to pay US affys.

If a program won't pay US affiliates (using the excuse they 'can't') it's because a) they don't want to and b) they don't want to.

Every program worth their salt pays US affiliates.

Leave it to mojo to give us an A or B choice....(damn A or B....A or B.....)

Now where is that coin I usually flip.....

Now if there has been a new issue with a specific payment processor, and they have plans to work this out right away they should let affiliates know....quickly...since if the clock ticks too many times affiliates will jump ship in such numbers that it may be very difficult to gain their trust back.

It really is not unreasonable for affiliates to want to know what payment methods are available to them in their respective countries but it is unreasonable to ask them to wait for this answer.

Yep that's me! I;ll always offer wallet a or b.

This is actually the second program I've heard of that won't pay US affy's. The other is Go Wild.

They don't tell you they won't pay US affys until a payment is due. Go figure. No heads up. So if US affiliates are promoting these programs be warned. Unfortunately.

You will not be paid I'm told. From other affiliates that have experienced the same.

IMO this is from what I have heard. I would love to see a rep respond please.

There is no reason for this.

Well a different Micro just sent an email the last few days about dropping a payment method, so I was wanting to give the benefit of the doubt in case a specific method is dropping some of their clients and the operators need to scramble and get it worked out.

Whatever the case, they need to disclose how they will pay etc.

Just to add a little...it's been 4 months now that Go Wild has not been able to pay USA affiliates unless they have a non US bank account or a non US e-wallet.

    No excuse at all !

It has Jim and I just hope Brightsare makes it right for Janet.

Never a reason for a program to not find a way to pay for services.

An affiliate program would have to be extremely paranoid to want to avoid sending marketing related funds to US banks. There is no law against that that I am aware of.

This thread will be one week old tomorrow with no response. I now request GPWA to take action.

I would like to draw attention to this particular sponsor term:

    AFFILIATE COMPLAINTS

Sponsor will promptly respond to any complaint forwarded by the GPWA or by a GPWA affiliate member on behalf of the affiliate or on behalf of a visitor to a website operated by the affiliate. If the complaint alleges the Sponsor Companies failed to comply with these terms the Sponsor agrees the Sponsor Companies will either provide reasonable evidence of compliance with these terms, or offer a fair resolution of the complaint.

    Hi everyone, </SPAN>

I would like to apologize for the delay in response to this post. </SPAN>

BrightShare did work with PaySpark until very recently. Our processor dropped them as a source quite suddenly, and we ourselves were delayed in receiving notification of this change. </SPAN>

BrightShare is working on a solution at present and we are hoping to secure another source shortly. </SPAN>

We are also lowering our withdrawal amounts to help better service our affiliate partners, so this is exciting news. </SPAN>

I would like to assure everyone, we are working behind the scenes to get this done. </SPAN>

I will be happy to notify you the moment we secure a new processing method for our US partners.

Just email me at [email protected].</SPAN>

Thanks for your reply but it makes it very hard to promote your brands when there's no guarantee that we'll ever get paid. Have a US friend that has been trying to collect over 5k for a few years now.

Do you provide notice on your website --- before signup --- that you are unable to pay US Affiliates?

Thanks for the reply, (even though quite delayed).

I agree with redbush, affiliates need a little better positive reinforcement than, "we will let you know at some unknown point in the future when we have a plan in place to pay US Affiliates at some point in the future after that."

And I wouldn't mind seeing an answer to Shay's question, is there a disclaimer on the affiliate site that potential affiliates see before they sign up?

Have the faq's or terms been updated to reflect there is currently no plan in place to pay US Affiliates?

Paying US Affiliates can NOT be an afterthought and something needs to be worked out now.

Have all affiliates been notified by email that US Affiliates may not be paid?

I have not seen an email and although I am not due a payment right now, I certainly do not want to recommend the Brightshare program to other affiliates right now without declaring that there is no current payment method defined for US Affiliates.

So is Anthony going to have to remind Brightshare that they need to answer the questions in the last two posts or do we just need to start pulling brands?
