    Default German regulations

    Hi,

I have had a German language casino portal website on the side for some years and it is doing fine. Never have I looked deeply into the regulations necesary for both operators and affiliates for Germany.

Does anyone have some links for me with the relevant information concerning German regulations? Preferrably in English, my German is ok but for legal stuff I prefer to read in English.

    Thanks, Paul

You can try sites such as:

    https://iclg.com/practice-areas/gamb...ations/germany

    https://cms.law/en/int/expert-guides...europe/germany

However, the information there may be out of date. If I need such information, I usually use a VPN and then translate a keyword from English to German. By doing so, I get results in German from where I can find the original source of the information and read it in English as Chrome asks me if I want the page to be translated.

Tap 'Germany' into the search bar at the top of the forum - there's a lot of threads about the recent changes, taxation and limitations.

I did this, but based on the topic titles there is not so much.
Plus they are mostly in German, i prefer English.
Maybe you can direct to a good one?

Thanks for the other suggestions as well.

BTW, also a good, reputable affiliate news website, that keeps a close watch on German regulations is an options.

the most important point that might be of interest is probably the cpa rates for casino (only cpa allowed in Germany...also cpc but only google gets that ). they vary insanely from Eur 170 to Eur 20 (no joke).... and some of the new casinos do not convert at all. still a very strange market...

CPA rates for german casinos are really a joke. The highest CPA we have on one of the casinos is 120. On the others they swey between 45 and 100 Euro. They just don't pay more and sometimes they also reduce the deal you have negotiated. And yes they don't convert well.

If the TV stations would charge 10 times more for the advertising then i assume that most of the companies would cease their activities. The german regulation have stupid rules. It's not interesting for companies and they should better not request a license.

German market is dead because companies and affiliates can't earn anything with this stupid rules. These feebleminded rules unfortunately also influence the international activities for german customers like registrations or payment options.

I hate my country for those incompetent imbeciles and supposed protectors or moralizers in the name of so-called player protection. They just want a piece of the pie and the protection is just an excuse. Every authority needs of course its right to exist.

Germany is no exception. Just look at Germany's neighbors.

France, Poland, Denmark - not normal regulations that have nothing to do with player expectation and freedom of choice. In addition, all in the name of player protection, and we can see what the reality is all about....
