Default Gala Partners & Big Butts: APCW Perspectives for 4 August, 2017

their inactivity clause, and webmasters are not too happy about it.

He's right. Anyone who continues to promote Gala, Coral or Ladbrokes can look forward to the day when they get bent over and given some good old fashioned prison loving by our friends in Israel. It's a question of when, not if.

It takes a couple of hours to go through your site blacklisting these brands, but it's time well spent in the long run.

The old problem is the difficulty in turning your back on years of work and referrals, but now Ladbrokes and Coral don't make money anymore (what's that all about?) I guess it does make it easier.

More alarming for me is that they just don't convert anymore. They make a lot less money than they used to, so I assume shaving, but the lack of conversions I would suggest they have reduced the cookie or some other sorcery.

    Indeed.

Apparently we haven't converted a single visitor there since 2015!
Residuals are still OK from people all the way back to 2006 - so we keep a generic listing.

I have never worked for nor will I ever work for a program that has an activity quota.

If you agree to send players to a program and you send 1 player and that player is the only 1 you ever send well then that's your good luck and you should be paid for however long that player plays and that's That!

    Exactly.

Anyone imposing limits like this simply 'does not get it'..

Yeh it seems only fair and common sense. If a webmaster sent that player, they sent that player 'for life' as all the lovely affiliate programs like to show on their stuff when trying to get webmasters to sign up.

What they really should say is 'For Life *as long as you can guarantee to keep sending players every month'. Not quite as catchy. We all know how volatile the search engine world is, so it's clearly false advertising for them to state that it's 'lifetime' commission as lots of webmasters will at some point or another face traffic issues that might put them off the map for a while.

I have signed all their flipping agreements, but now I see they have still placed my very active Coral affiliate account to 0% rev share from the start of this month - and worse, the tracking cookie is not being dropped (I have checked and double checked against other affiliates links that are dropping the relevant cookie), so referrals will be lost even if they correct their error. The level of incompetence at Coral / Ladbrokes affiliate program is reaching new levels - and they really don't care. It is getting to the point where I am happy to turn my back on many years of work towards these brands just to be shot of all this non-stop hassle. A month of going back and forth and signing and signing again etc etc. I am not going to refer another person to any of their three brands until stats are correct and referrals are reinstated. Check your affiliate accounts (especially Coral) and make sure they are not wrongly set to zero, because if they are they wont be tracking referrals even though it will show that they are tracking clicks.

UPDATE: I am assured by Coral that the referral tracking is working properly even while it is 0% rev share. They will correct this error with the rev share 'by end of week'.

They've moved it to Israel and started to treat their affiliates like a joke. Gala Bingo is the same, I literally can't buy a signup - something's changes at Gala/Coral/Ladbrokes with the tracking, something bad - I'm sending the same quality clicks/traffic as ever, but suddenyl can't get signups. Hmmmm.. They're screwing their affiliates right over.

Ours is showing the proper commission percentage. However, for the beginning of August, it is tracking at 0% revenue still. So overall, it is not yet fixed.

Can't be long before a bunch of us launch a small claims against them. Imagine the panic about the bad press and all because of badly trained AMs and practices that have been taught to them over the years...

If they finally do change it for you, make sure they set the effective date for 2017-08-01 or yours will be like mine (showing zero up until the date they set it properly).

Remember when Gala Coral was in Gibraltar and Hodgey ran it, that was a proper program back then paying proper money. Shame to see a good program gradually killed. I used to make proper money out of Coral, now not so much.
