    Default Facebook Appeals process

I had given up the ghost about getting my Facebook page renewed but after FB sending me more emails I figured I'd log in again to check the account status.

After not being responded to on 2 occasions I decided to give an appeal one last go (After all I literally posted twice a day at most and explicit betting company related posts were few and far between), their response by way of an 'appeals process' is nothing short of laughable... Just thought I'd share for those in a similar predicament.

ME: Hi,I will completely refrain from any gambling related content going forward and only provide sports analysis and reviews, I admittedly erred naively and didn't realise I was breaching any rules being that you were accepting my money for the very same posts that were deemed not acceptable. A response would be greatly appreciated so I know where I stand and what likelihood I have of getting this overturned.
    Many thanks In advance.

    FB: Hi Shrewwd,
Thanks for writing back. Once a page has been unpublished for violating any policy it cannot be republished.
    Thanks,

    ME: Hello Sofi,
I do really appreciate you getting back to me but that response seems to make a bit of a mockery of the whole 'appeals process' ?
I would have thought there would be degrees of violation and mine would have been very small (owing to being unaware,...now I am I wouldn't breach this again)
As I said the actions which you have deemed in breach are the very same that I actually paid you guys money for to promote?
I would really appreciate it if you could give me a little more information rather than such an abrupt and seemingly peculiar response. Is there any opportunity for me therefore to ask for a refund for you allowing me to pay (and for you to accept payment for) marketing activity that you then deem unsatisfactory? It just renders it a waste of the very little money that I have in trying to grow a reputable business.
I thought that Facebook would be the best medium to promote and so that’s where I spent my (albeit relatively small) marketing budget
    Best regards

    FB: Hi Shrewwd,
Thank you for writing back. We understand your concern but we have to follow the rules.
    Thanks,

    Me: Hey again Sofi,
I really don't want to be argumentative or cause any hassle but what does 'we have to follow the rules' mean?
It's your supposed rules that you are imposing and so you are the decision makers and have free will to do the right thing, do you not?
Also that last response was even more dismissive and flippant than the first one and hasn’t acknowledged the money you have taken from me. If you could address this issue and suggest a) what you consider a 'fair' outcome is in this instance and b) what you are going to do or what you propose that I do to come to that 'fair' account it would be appreciated.
You have happily taken a considerable sum from me for advertising and then closed my accounts for the very same adverts ? (Irrespective of the wasted and time and effort I have put this seems very unjust).
    Many thanks

FB: (Im awaiting, however not expecting a response)

I have contact numbers, emails and so much more! Facebook seems to do what it wants.

i know a guy who spent over 100k on adverts, Facebook approved for years! Then just removed him page and will not reply to him.

Wow those responses are really harsh. Stuff like this really doesn't give FB a very good name.

They either have to have a blanket approach to allowing gambling or don't. If they are just going to pick on individuals and let other people get away with it then there's no real consistency or fairness. Strange way to run a company, you'd have thought they'd want people paying for ads.

American corporates speak the same language but the words somehow convey a different meaning in their business world.

I laughed out loud today when I saw Anheuser-Busch (makers of Budweiser) wanting to lecture the NFL on their response to recent events when a couple of players have been in the spotlight for physical violence of a woman and smacking a child.
    https://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/11...player-conduct

They are concerned about being connected to domestic violence ... FFS ... you make BEER that is sold in huge quantities in the US. Your product is probably directly responsible for hundreds of thousands of cases EVERY YEAR!

So it is with the US and online gambling. It's a pariah! Unclean. Unclean. It does not matter that most of the rest of the free world has the option and that it has not brought down the end of civilisation ... any suggestion at a corporate level and Facebook suddenly develop the morals of a Mother Superior Nun about it all.

You can't even discuss that it's legal in your location - Google are much the same with their ad words product. Madness

I just got my fanpage banned, same answers, Sofie too, LOL. Waste of time and money, really. Unless you want to write about some distantly related stuff, not gambling nor promotions, but does that make sense? Besides, I don't think gamblers need that much of a social bonding... The only reasonable way to deal with social media is to create "fake" account, pay to advertise something else for starters to get your account "approved" and switch to gambling ads and push the campaign for as long as another ban slams down on you

It's totally put me off bothering with Facebook stuff in any major kind of sense, I'll tick along with small groups to have a presence but not putting any money in whatsoever.

    Default Facebook page unpublished

This doesn't sound promising! I just had my facebook page unpublished (didn't pay for advertising). I don't really understand why it was since there are literally hundreds of pages doing exactly the same, especially casinos brands as well..

I published some gambling news stuff once a week at most so it's not going to have any impact, just a bit annoying for all the work put in over the past year

I just appealed but don't hold much hope after whats been said on this thread.

Anyone else had a positive appeal process?

I had my page banned and there aren't even any gambling posts on it - Just talk about football.

I had it banned because the name of the page has "bet" in it. They really are going for anything. It's just a matter of time.

It seems that there is only one person doing it as her name seems to pop up with everyone's appeals process. She always tells you that once unpublished, a page can't be republished, which contradicts the reason for having an appeals button!
