Default Cloudflare and Litespeed Cache Settings Help

I'm battling some site speed issues and wondering if I have Cloudflare and Litespeed Cache setup correctly and more importantly, in the optimal way to complement each other. Does anyone have a good resource they can point me to so I can check my settings? I used what appeared to be a decent one (can't remember the link) and the Litespped Cache and Cloudflare help areas. Now am questioning some of the advice. They didn't agree with each other in some places.

I use the minimum necessary plugins. I use functions.php where possible to avoid extra plugins. I have small jpg images. All the usual basic stuff.

Weirdly GTMetrix gives me a Desktop Pagespeed score of A(93%) and YSlow score of B(88%) and the page takes 6 seconds to fully load... Google PageSpeed Insights gives me a Desktop score of 62 and Mobile of 35. Desktop reduce initial server response advise gives a possible saving of 3.58 seconds.

I do have some of the TTL settings at 20 minutes (per advice from above places or defaults) and this seems low to me. Where do I change these (Facebook pixel, webfonts) TTL settings? Can't see anywhere in the TTL tab of the Litespeed Cache plugin that looks like the correct one.

Before going the route of looking for a new host after 10+ years I thought I was ask the group here. Thanks in advance.

I will let James verify this to be sure, but I do think this has been conquered.

No the speed issues have not been conquered Rick. robyroy has given me some great help and areas to look at addressing a bit more. Particularly the excessive css/js stuff attached to some plugins.

For any other people reading this, Rick was a great help in sorting some geo-location stuff using the Cloudflare CF-IPCountry header information via htaccess.

Thanks for the tips. More to investigate and perhaps I have a similar conflict.

I primarily use PageSpeed Insights and went to GT Metrix to see if the waterfall secton could give me a bit more information and find their visual representation easy to follow. It can be easy to fall down the rabbit hole of page speed testing tools and telling different stories...

This was the first thing I addressed as it's the easiest for me to understand. Editing images and compressing seems to be the extent of my technical knowledge some days.

Also started looking at cloud hosting as a solution. Man, I am out of touch and the 'simple pricing' one was still too complicated for me.

James, you have litespeed on your server. Litespeed cache can be used for compress images. Also, you can use this plugin to serve images in webp format (offers a better compression). In fact, almost all your problems can be managed by this awesome tool )
Like i just said to you, if you need help, i can help you with that. I have litespeed on all my projects.

Thanks. I looked at the webp thing a few days ago and wasn't sure if it would help much as some of the slow pages don't have a heap of images. Will look again.

Haven't been able to check in with other guy about access and will hopefully be in touch soon.

Question, as trying to solve geo vs caching issue: from what i understand on Litespeed server you have an option to cache per country. Anyone has experience with that? I use Poka geo plugin.

Actually did it on purpose assuming that those that were involved in this thread will get notified and can assist.
And since last post here 2.5 years ago I assume Jarvi wouldn't mind.

Unfortunately I can't help with Litespeed server stuff as I ended up moving to a different hosting provider and no longer a Litespeed server. My old brain can't remember back taht far either!

In the back of my mind I kind of knew this would be part of the answer to my problems and was hoping for something a bit less timeconsuming to complete. I also changed to the GeneratePress theme (another timeconsuming task) and combined with the hosting, I saw some significant improvements.
