    I like this analogy because it helps people who have limited to zero knowledge of Bitcoin understand why having a stable base protocol is essential. You can use the WayBack Machine (https://archive.org/web/) and view a website from the 90's...anyway, I'll default to someone who can explain it better than me A quote from Jimmy Nguyen from this article: "Genesis will stabilize the Bitcoin protocol. As Nguyen notes, this will create “a stable ruleset ensures that a monetary or data transaction performed on the blockchain today will valid in 2, 5 and 100 years from now.” Enterprises will need this stability to build their own applications, as they can only invest in a project where they know protocol changes won’t send them off track"

    I really like this thread... it was nice read.

    My take blockchain with affiliates in the iGaming world:

    There is one thing I really love about it, the transparency... you have the opportunity (if the partner casino has the right platform) to let you verify the players you referred and see exactly how much did they play, and so the amount of commission you get for each round.

    This is surely amazing and useful when you extrapolate data to make further and extensive data-based decisions. In the end, we all want to make better choices when it comes to drive revenue and traffic to the sites we are affiliated to. Which in the end will reflect on the content we give to the final user and to the successful relationship you can have.

    I am pretty sure in the upcoming years all casinos will adapt to the current trend and they will be starting to hire more developers... cryptocurrencies is only a part of the blockchain and still it has lots of problems. But give it some time and the adoption will come.

    Is there anything specific you are looking for to extend your research? I might have some data from the affiliate perspective, if needed.
    Hope this is helpful.

    Dear Becky, what you just wrote is not a bit off, but way off.

    Bitcoin is not BSV. BSV is a fork of fork of bitcoin. Anyone can fork bitcoin. You han have BeckyCoin in few minutes, it might have identical code with BTC or BSV or anything else like original bitcoin, but it will not mean that BeckyCoin will be a Bitcoin.

    Coingeek is a paid shilling site, pure propaganda. The narrative that Bitcoin = BSV is used there and at CalvinAyre.com as well. I hope everyone knows here that it is quite a dirty play, but no affiliate has clean hands, so at least I am pretending I am blind here, when those sites simply lie to everyone that BSV is the bitcoin (and there are many stupid victims who confuse then those coins).

    Please lie to your readers, but do not lie to us. Do not lie directly to affiliates at affiliate forum. Revenuenetwork is still the best US affiliate program, but everything is based on credibility and trust here. Please stop destroying the trust here. We affiliates need RN and "former business of CA", but for that we need the trust.

    So Genesis will not stable the Bitcoin protocol. Genesis is something that people who do BSV hope that will stabilise BSV protocol.

    When I am paid by bitcoin by reveneunetwork, I do not get BSV, I get BTC.

    Please, really. This is horrible.

    Just to clear up any confusion here, the reason why CalvinAyre.com & CoinGeek.com refer to BSV as Bitcoin is because BSV is an electronic, everyday cash system as Satoshi outlined in the Bitcoin whitepaper- incredibly low fees, instant transactions, handles 9000 transactions per second...BTC is now a store of value - it is used in a different way.

    I understand your logic Becky, but a lot of people use BTC for transactions. RevenueNetwork is a great example of that

    More people use BTC for transactions than BSV, that is certain. Even with the large BTC fees currently being used vs the fraction of a penny it costs to transact on BSV.

    I actually have a friend who has begun using BCH for transactions now, instead of BTC, to save on fees and because the confirmations are every 10minutes, like clockwork, for small fees. Yes, that friend could use BSV also as the spending/cash solution, but they do not because BSV has even far less adoption than BCH at merchant websites!

    I did see eGifter takes BSV now though, so maybe there is hope

    Totally understood on the merchant adoption and that is one exciting area to check out, but another- and possibly even a more exciting area depending on who you are talking to - is the data integrity piece. What you can do with data being stored and accessed on the blockchain is so exciting for affiliates, I think...fuse that with payouts and now we've got something super exciting to talk about

    Anyway- rather than debate about what blockchain is better, I'd love to hear more about the pain points you're all facing as affiliates and how blockchain tech in general could potentially help.

    Also, thank you all so much for your feedback thus far, honestly this thread has been super informative for me & hopefully some of you too, keep it coming!

    If you look at some of the biggest admin problems affiliates have:
    1) Reporting and lack of
    2) Operators shaving commissions
    3) Issues with banking due to the way banking firms view the industry
    4) Brands transferring players from one skin to another and players becoming "untagged"

    There are definitely use cases that could be solved by blockchain technology. I wish I was smart enough to be the one that codes it, but sadly not.

    Congrats on the new role Becky, delighted to see you will still be hanging around the industry

    That is not cleaning up the confuison. That is exactly the intentional spreading of the confusion to the non-informed public.

    BSV is not a bitcoin. And I am not Elon Musk. My gf is calling me jokingly sometimes Elon. But I am not Elon. I am not even Sherlock Holmes.

    BTC is bitcoin.

    Yes BSV is closer to (and will be maybe the same code after the fork) the original bitcoin. But bitcoin changed. Bitcoin is now BTC.

    As I wrote, I can make my fork of original bitcoin. I can strip it of transactions not until 2017 fork on 1st August as it is doing BSV.

    I can make a real bitcoin that changed the code in 2010. https://decrypt.co/39750/184-billion...nymous-creator
    That Sherlockcoin will be the real bitcoin then. It will be the true Satoshi Vision, the first code used, so even more original bitcoin than BSV.

    But sadly, even that will not make Sherlockcoin the real bitcoin. And yes, I can use those Sherlockcoins with my gf and we car refer it as a bitcoin. But when I will pay someone with this bitcoin aka Sherlockcoin, it is a fraud.

    What coingeek and everbody around is trying is this fraud and nothing else. Until BSV is trying to say that it is the best coin in the universe everything is fine and I wish you luck, because I am bagholder of BSV.

    When anyone is trying to say that BSV is Bitcoin it is on the same level as saying that Liberian dollar is US dollar (once someone wanted to trick me with this bs).

    I am maybe the only member of this forum, who thinks that anyone has right to scam anyone else. So you have the right at least for me, as you have the right to destroy your credit score. But claiming that BSV=bitcoin, you are destroying the credibility of Revenue Network. And Calvin Ayre, one of the most respected figures of gambling and affiliate marketing, is also destroying his own reputation here.

    I am not upset. I am deeply sad. RN is one of the companies that keeps us afloat. Even at other US faced affiliate programs I am meeting ex-bodog employees, whose careers started at Bodog and they are like a big family that spread all over the world. Just that is/would be an amazing legacy for Calvin and he will be forever respected for that. But when he decided calling BSV a bitcoin, he is trying to scam people and hijack the bitcoin. To me he took bigger morsel than he can chew and now he is frying in his own ego with his paid puppet CSW.

    Also calling BSV a bitcoin and actually doing something on the top of it, e.g. the affiliate software, is 100% counter-productive. No one sane will believe to the affiliate/gambling software build on the top of "bitcoin", when that bitcoin is BSV.

    People can become idiots at any stage of their life. The other way around it is harder. If BSV choose this way then it is "fine", but please not make fools of professionals. We are not the target group of this scam (at least I hope, sorry for speaking for others; sometimes when people even here do not know the difference between a wallet/address or blockchain/bitcoin, maybe we actually are a perfect victims of that scam and it is sad if we are evaluated as such).

    Hi Becky,

    great to see you back after so many years.

    Unfortuntaly to me it seems more a marketingtrick/push for coingeek than genuine interest in the aff. communiity.

    Cryptocurrency and Blockchain will change the economy across the board, and the gaming industry will be no exception.

    The applications will be the most varied, among which I highlight:

    - Currency used for deposits and withdrawals;
    - Payment method used to pay affiliates;
    - Use of Blockchain for secure contracts between clients of bookmakers;
    - Use of Blockchain for the development of new game portals;
    - Reach countries and users that do not have simple forms of deposit;

    These are just a few of the transformations that will happen soon.

    Guys, I know many people now are trying to learn about all those things like cryptocurrency, blockchain, bitcoins and others. As we always see news dedicated to it, we have a desire to know about all the progressive trends. But be careful, trying to do that. I know some of the gamblers are going to play on crypto casino websites now. Take a look and check if it works with blockchain technology or not. I can say that fairspin.io does. That technology protects your transactions and keeps them safe.

    interesting points you guys brought out here, there is still a lot of constructive thinking needed i suppose. In order to use this new tech the best way for everyone. The Funfair tech seems very promising but all of their brands went offline recently so lets see if they are making some changes and go back online.

    The funfair casinos wont be going back online, if you read the update on their site. They said that running a casino on the Ethereum blockchain was too difficult (tech was too slow and the costs too high). They have sold all their fun tokens to the guys at bitco.in who have taken over the token.

    From what I have read on the blog it looks like the funfair guys will focus on games development instead.
