Betsson updated their terms - Stay Away!

Betsson updated their terms and now they can simply terminate your account and take your wallet including all the money inside just because you didn't access it !

Stay away from Betsson:

5.3 Account Activity. In addition and without prejudice to the above, we may, at our discretion, suspend your Affiliate Account(s), fully or partially, for a period of time in case of any of the following circumstances, and terminate the Affiliate Agreement with immediate effect where the relevant circumstance(s) has not been rectified by you within the period of time communicated to you by us, or, terminate the Affiliate Agreement, fully or partially, with immediate effect in any of the following circumstances

i) you have not accessed your Affiliate Account for a period of six (6) consecutive months, or;
(ii) you have not withdrawn monies from your Affiliate Wallet for a period of six (6) consecutive months, or;
(iii) the Commission earned by you results in a negative amount over a period of six (6) consecutive months, or;
(iv) you generate less than ten (10) New Customers over a period of six (6) consecutive months, or;
(v) you are non-compliant with applicable laws and/or Betsson Group’s instructions, guidelines and/or policies.

Yes, but don't forget this is all to stay compliant with the UKGC, as the UKGC dictate how long affiliates have to be active for. Or so you'd think reading the email they have just sent.
I'd have far more respect if they just came clean and said "we are stealing players this month, it could be you!" Instead of the complete and utter crap excuses.

Any affiliate program that is not small affiliate friendly, is NOT affiliate friendly.

Not sure if you got the email, however this is it.

"Dear Partner,
Compliance is an extremely important aspect of how we operate and we want to ensure that our business remains compliant at all times.

For this reason, kindly be informed that, as from 2nd October 2023, we have updated our Betsson Group Affiliates – Terms and Conditions Program in relation to account activity. "

So basically inactivity of an account is non compliant with the UKGC.

What I find strange is that it is only ever my accounts making money that get terminated. I look forward to my Betsson account being terminated, although it won't, as it has zero activity, zero regs, zero clicks, zero ftds. So looks like I'm safe, zero to steal.

I was a partner of Betsson Group since 2006, i.e. 17 years, I was treated like a rag.

embarrassing behavior, I'm outraged

for me this is bandit behavior, white glove theft.

When I asked them which account they sent a list of accounts we have with them, these accounts where not created by us but it was migrated from other programs they purchased years ago, when we ask to merge them since it'll help us with the terms, they refuse!
So we have over 10 different accounts and still we need to follow their predatory terms PER ACCOUNT!

This company is a big fraud, I strongly advise anyone who is working with them to stay alret because soon the account will be terminated and you'll have no one to speak to! They dont care about previous deals agreed with managers, even if you have it in writing or in email!

STAY AWAY!!!

I also blacklisted all their brands

Even if you work with them since 1800 - this company cares nothing about affiliates, affiliates only good for shaving as far as they concerned

what a s****y group of people there - this move is insane. They have stolen hundred of players this way.
Imagine an investment in ppc made months ago, all in the bin. Everyone should remove these jokers from their affilaite website immediately for a fair counter-reply.

I also received this email titled "IMPORTANT: Dormancy Clause - Closure of Account".

I'm just not OK with changing terms retroactively. When I signed up 10+ years ago, there was no "you generate less than ten (10) New Customers over a period of six (6) consecutive months" clause.

lol, I got that email yesterday, and today I cannot login anymore. I can't even check if I still sent them traffic, and redirect that traffic. I'm sure the aff links still work even after the account closure. Very annoying.

Loved Betsson 10+ years as an affiliate, but received yesterday termination email based on dormancy clause. Still waiting for their reply. This was something like a shock as I worked with them so long time. So, they wanted to wipe out all active players from my account (and aff commissions) as the email suggest, that should I wish to continue, I should apply for a new account. I don't really get it how my account was "dormant" as it generated and still generates for them nice amount per month. Ok, now they keep also my share.

I always find that the large and "compliant" / "regulated" / etc brands are the absolute worst when it comes to affiliate terms, to the point where I've just ditched most of them myself just to save me some time.

I'll probably move with some legal actions, they cannot apply the clause retroactively - too easy this way to steal millions of commissions
